What are the differences? On their website the most obvious difference is price, but what else?

M9A1 has a rail, grips have more aggresive checkering and magazines IIRC are supposed to be sand resistant. Slide is the same....

What is a "rail"? And is that desireable?

EDIT: Oh, is that the area at the bottom where a light could be fitted?

That 90-two has a sleeker look, but I don't like the rounded trigger guard. I read those are the new ones. Are they still making the 92FS?

Thanks guys. I looked and found some dealers that carry Beretta, as well as some others I am interested in. :)

I hate the slanted dust cover on the new 92FS. Also the contrast between the steel parts and alloy frame is jarring.

Now the late 80's, early 90's Italian made 92 FS were things of beauty. Flawless machining, smooth surfaces and a satin black finish on the steel parts which matched the alloy frame nicely. I found the US guns from that era to have a more 'powdery' black finish.

Like most guns nowadays compared to 20 years ago, machining not as good, finish not as good. 1911's on the other hand are better.

I really hate the rails on classic guns like the Beretta and Sig...really wrecks the classic lines of the piece.
