Difference between Hammerli X-esse and X-esse Sport ?

Some of the long models (6") came with fixed sights vs. adjustable target sights on the sport or target model. The only difference between my Xesse Long and a friend's Xesse Sport is the grips (which I upgraded to the target grips - now I have both)

Mine has the adjustable target sights, which I think all the models in Xesse came with - I haven't seen one in Canada without the adjustable sights. I think the Trailside version in the US had fixed sights vs. the Sport or Target model which came with adjustable. Someone said it had a different trigger, but I don't see any difference between the Sport and Long in the trigger.

For a totally accurate response to this, ask someone at the The Shooting Edge, they carry all three models of the Xesse.

The Sig Arms site used to have all the details and differences on these, but for a long time their sight has said to wait for updated information.

I own a Sport model, the sport has an adjustable trigger down to 2.2 pounds along with adjustable take up. I don't think the Long model has adjustable trigger weight.

Also the Sport model has adjustable width on the front sight.

And the grips of course.

I really like mine, never a hiccup, will throw any ammo I feed it downrange, no FTF/FTE. And real accurate.

Muzzle end is a little light though, I made a stainless weight for mine to make it a little heavier out there for better balance and control.

Mags are really easy to load too, they are plastic though, hasn't been an issue anyway.

The Sport has a rotating front sight allowing adjustment of the width. The rear sight is adjustable on all Xesses but it is a much better unit on the Sport. Also the sport has trigger adjustment and comes with a target grip. The grip can be ordered for any Xesse though.

Just for info, Hammerli has been bought out by Walther/Umarex. We will no longer be distributing Hammerli, but we do have a stock of guns and parts.
