Difference between Marlin 336C & 336RC models?

Hi Fellers,

Can someone explain the difference between these two older models...the 336C and the 336RC? I have looked up pictures of each, but can't see any real difference?

The only difference would be age Jeff. Currently Marlin offers the 336C and the 336A (and stainless and youth model). The A is a "stripper" and the C has nicer wood.

Originally the 336 came in RC (regular carbine), which is the same as what they now call the 336C. I can't recall when they dropped the RC suffix...
