Was not able to find quite the definitive answer to a question of mine.

1600 Round crates of norinco .223/556 came in yellow boxes plastic wrapped, or paper wrapped in spam cans.

Also came in the 1120 crates in white boxes inside of spam cans.

My question is:

Is the paper wrapped 1600 rd crates w/ 800 rd spam cans closer to the yellow box or white box in terms of performance/powder load. Mainly wondering due to yellow box seeming to create a much larger flash out of my comp while the white box isnt quite as dramatic. Wondering where the paper wrapped falls in that spectrum of flash production.

THANK YOU!

I have only opened one of my 1600 round crates. It is the paper wrapped stuff, cj 0 headstamp with crimped primers. IMO it is the best of what is out there. I have been saving what I have left and started using the white box stuff from the 1120 round crates, 93 or 95 headstamp, no crimp. My shooting buddy is going through the yellow box stuff with no issues. I haven't really compared muzzle flashes between them, for my purposes they all do the job. Someday I may do an accuracy test to see if one performs better than the others through my guns.

Good to know thanks for the reply. Ran out of my white box almost and yellow box crates almost done to. Wish i could snap up another full case of yellow box but I will probably try the paper wrapped in the meantime.

So far the yellow box outshoots the white box for me slightly far as accuracy goes.
