Cannot find any info on their site surprise surprise. Anyone know? I do know the CTI has been discontinued, and that there is a II on the new shotgun. Thats it.

Found quite a few people stating the fact that it would not could not handle light loads and Remington had printed this in their manual. It should be on the box in huge red letters if you ask me.The speed loading not so speedy, but clumsy. Stock does not fit as nice as others in its class. So far I have only read negative reviews of this shotgun(original CTI). Anyone have something to add about their experience?

I have a 105 CTi original. It cycles light loads great. My 7/8 oz and 24 gm 1275 to 1325 fps hand loads cycle it fine on trap.

However, when I tried doubles using 24 gm loads it ejcted the hull as well as the next round in the magazine.

Also, I need to remove the butt plate to install some home made shis to adjust cast as I am shooting left shoulder.

Ideas?

Remington launched the 105CTi before they had ironed out all the bugs and the public become their research crew. There where a few improvements to the 105CTi II to try make it more reliable with light loads but it still prefered 1 1/8oz 3dr. eq. or heavier loads. Remington's biggest mistake was to develop it as a hunting shotgun. They should have designed it around 24gram to 1 1/8oz target loads like they do with the 1100/11-87 "Target" models and then pushed it more towards the clays shooters. They should have also gave it a parallel comb and offered an adjustable comb as an upgrade. The second mistake and probably the fatal one was rushing it to market...word got out that it was more troublesome than most of the competition and that in turn sealed the fate of the improved CTi II. The CTi II is from what I've heard and been told a very good shotgun with heavy game and waterfowl loads. As soon as I find one without a ridiculous price tag on it I'll be scooping it up!
