I spent an hour trying to find a stitch of difference with both versions but the website pictures look identical(I am sure they are) to me and a friend. I would like to buy one but cannot tell which would be nicer. There is not even a written description of what they do differently in the process of the receiver or how it looks. If you have one or better yet have seen them both...please help? Is it as simple as (grayed)silver or (blued)black in color?

Well, I can not add anything more than what you have mentioned.
But, I would suggest you call one of the higher end gun stores in BC and ask them for their
two cents worth.
I am sure a Grd VII has some very nice engraving with gold high lites maybe and a higher grade of wood.
Fit will be very good as weel, as I have never seen any browning that did not stand up to close inspection of fit and QC, thats my opinion others with vary.
I recently bought a GrdIII 20g Auto and it is one pretty shot gun.

Thanks for your input. I have not doubt the shotgun will be impeccable as I own two Citoris already. My question is the finish not the engraving or the grade of the wood. Upon further investigation it looks like Browning has mistakenly entered the same pictures of the receiver for both blued and grayed as far as I can tell.

Just got off the phone with Browning Canada. It is exactly as I thought: (grayed)silver or (blued)black in color. Now to order the grayed one...
