What are the differences between the Marks? Can some be scoped and others cannot? Slim short or long barrels vs thick long and short; do the different barrel profiles make a significant difference in velocity and accuracy?
Mark 1 was 9shot, and the bolt did not stay open after the last shot.
Mark 2 was 10 shot and available in many different barrel configurations.
Mark 3 (fairly new) have different barrel lengths, styles, finishes, and sights. The Hunter model has a scope rail.
Mark III :
1) They added a loaded indicator on the left side,
2) An internal key system to lock the firearm,
3) a mag safety so it won't fire unless their is a mag inserted
4) The mag release was moved from the heel to the conventional left side for your thumb
(this was the only good addition but worth going to the mark III)
Mark II:
1) They added a bolt hold open
Mark I:
1) Heel mag release, no extra safety features, and no last shot bolt hold open.
I'd have to double check but I believe these are the differences between the models.
Mark III - I don't know if this is generally the case but the Mark IIIs I have seen had poorer trigger than the Mark I and II. Maybe there was a bad run? Anyone with more experience with Mark IIIs.
just put 250 rounds through my mark 3 this weekend and i love that gun! i feel the trigger is as good as guns that cost twice as much....just my 2 cents or i got lucky as i have never shot another mk 3
