I have a whole bunch of Winchester and Federal .308win brass. I've already done a bunch of reloads with the Winchester brass, but I haven't used the Federal brass yet. However I've noticed that the Federal brass is quite a bit heavier, and seems to have a thicker neck. I also have some Hornady and Remington brass, but they seem to be pretty similar to the Winchester brass in terms of weight.
How big of a difference does different commercial manufacturers of brass have on performance (I know that you need to reduce your loads with military 7.62 brass), and should I start with a reduced load and work my way back up again with the Federal brass?
