different factory ammo and copper residue

Do some calibers or brands of ammo leave more copper residue than others? I was cleaning my rifles the other day and found that there was a significant amount of copper residue in the 270 which I use only 140Gr Hornady SST. The 308 had next to no copper residue coming out of it and I use Federal blue box 150gr in it. Both rifles had no more than 20-30 rounds through them since last cleaning, which was 2 years ago. I used Pro Shot copper solvent for the initial scrub out and then Wipe Out for two applications with a minimal of 1 hour soak times each time. At no point had a brush been used up to this point. The patches were coming out very blue on single passes in the 270 but hardly any with the 308.....

I do find Hornady bullets to leave significantly more copper fouling in the bores than any other brand. I've read that it's because they use a softer copper alloy for their jackets but I've never looked into it too much. I don't use much factory ammo but they use the same bullets in their factory loads that they sell as components so it makes sense that both could cause this.
