Hey Fellow Nutters,

Sent a flash suppressor back to Marstar under warrenty. Original had an uneven base that front sight sits on. (higher on the left and lower on the right)
Anywho, sent defective item item back to Marstar and a replacement was sent back to me....here is where it gets interesting. My castle nut (original) which i was told to keep, will not fit into slot of flash hider. It appears replacement suppressor has a smaller opening than my original. It appears that the circumference of my castle nut is too large. If the difference was minimal, i could just file it down, but the castle nut appears to be approx. 1/4" - 3/8" larger than slot on suppressor.

Just wondering if anyone has run across this and what they have done

cheers & beers

The circumference is 1/4 larger then the slot width? Is the suppressor from a mini-14? Does it fit on the rifle without the castle nut? Pics would help if you can.

Me thinks that we should have started the encyclopedia of Chinese quality control when we started getting these in bulk a couple years back.

Post a pic with the FH installed and the castle nut beside the FH.
