What are the advantages of the different beavertails on 1911's? The ones that come on the Norinco NP-29's.... how are they? Good ones?

I have medium to smaller hands, if that makes any difference.

Thanks

Before I'd alter the Norc for a different beavertail, I'd try a shorter trigger.

FWIW, the smallest grip possible would be with the Ed Brown, and if your hands are more medium than small, you may find it too small.

The beavertail on the NP29 works just fine for me. I do not have long fingers.

+1. You'll have no issue with the beavertail on the NP29.

On my NP30, I had to lose the one-piece wrap around grip, and replace it with thinned down traditional wood grips. Skateboard grip works well too.

a high rise beaver tail will allow the gun to sit lower in your hand providing you with better recoil control. Some makes have the sides contoured a bit aswell. If you have massive thumb knuckles I would avoid this type. You can also get them with or with out a palm swell at the bottom.
