dilema for a new toy

i have a dilema ... i dont know what to buy between a ruger mini 14 and the norinco m305... i like the look of the mini 14 seems to be small and fun to shoot but the m305 is a big bore rifle and seems to be a blast to shoot so i dont know wich to buy, someone can tell me good and bad things about each rifles?
 
everything ive heard about the ruger mini 14 is that it is VERY innacurate, that does not mean it can't be made a bit better but you will not get a long range shooter out of it. an sks would perhaps be a better option if you want a fun rifle and do not want alot of accuracy (i had alot of fun with my sks-d). The m305 will be more accurate, and can be made very much more so with mods....i cant tell you much more about it becuse i dont have mine yet, its in the mail. basically it depends on why you want your gun and what you want out of it.
 
If you're looking for a small, fun to shoot rifle, I'd forget about the Mini and buy an SKS. One of the Yugo or Chinese military SKS's would fit that bill very well. Plus you can get 1120 rounds of 7.62x39 for $169 +tax delivered.

The M305 will be more accurate and capable of longer ranges, as well as double duty as a hunting rifle, if you hunt.

Personnally, I'd never waste money on a Mini. You can get 2 or 3 SKS's for the same price and they're basically the same as far as accuracy goes.
 
14 vs 305

I had a mini-14; nothing particularly wrong with them, aside from the cost of the larger mags, but not particularly accurate. I have much more fun with my SKS-D and Cz-858...

yeah i already have an SKS-D so maybe my choice will be the m305, if i hunt moose with a .303 lee enfield on short distance can i hunt moose with the m305 ?, the longer range at my hunting spot is maybe about 600 to 800 foot..
 
If you can afford the mini14 and are thinking of a M305 , then why not get a M305 and a SKS . M305 = 400 to 450 , SKS = 140 to 180 . mini 14 is what 600 to 900 ?
mini 14 is about as good as a SKS IMO , SKS is super cheap to shoot .
M305 is a great gun with the power to hunt with .
I got both , don't need no mini .
 
nothing wrong with either an m14/305................or a ruger depends on your plans for use..............if mini are so inaccurate how come i hit my target at an up to 300m?
most hunting or such is at ranges of 300m or less...........
 
M305! I have no hands-on experience but I've heard a lot of bad things about the Mini-14's and only good things about M14's. Besides; Mini-14's are bloody expensive.
