Ok... I have enough money to buy a HK P7M8 (I've heard this shoots well ;) )... butttt I know I shoot the 1911 in 9mm well (My hands like the STI Trojan). BUT another part of me wants to buy an antique revolver...

:( :( :( help me choose

Someone once said - Life is a series of missed opportunities.
I agree with Wrong way. Once it is gone - you will wish that you had picked it up. Then it becomes a quest and invariably you will end up spending more then when you first saw it...

Do you really want to spend 2K on just one handgun? For that price you could get a nice 226, USP, Custom 9MM 1911 or hell even two guns like an XD and a Glock ect ect. + you'll be able to buy a crap load of ammo to shoot forever.

TargetSports has 3 of them instock for 1999 each with 2 mags. Cool gun, nice and light but the fact that it has a 105MM barrel is not enough to spend two large on ONE gun IMHO, more so a handgun. If I was spending that much money and I wanted something to stand out I'd get a DE in .50 with the .44 barrel with ####ing diamonds and buy a whack load of ammo.

You say your hear that it shoots well. If you havent handled one or shot one extensivley go do that before you drop 2K on a gun. Thats alot of money to me, I dunno about you but make sure its something that you REALLY want and that everything else in your life is spiffy.

My dad asks me why I spend so much money on guns instead of saving it in the bank. I told him that I am investing my money smartly. They don't loose much value, I get to spend my money on a cool toy and if I need to get my money back I can sell it in a pinch for my money back. (- or minus 10%)

Sounds like me!!!...my wife an I have a M&P 40cal, P99 9mm, and we're looking at buying our second set of guns. Also looking at the P7M8, STI Trojan, Kimber Tac Pro II Stainless, Beretta M9A1, and wouldn't mind a revolver but haven't full decided on that one yet. I agree the 2K is alot to spend but what the hay.... Since both guns we have are polymer I am shying a bit away from Glocks, Springfield XD's etc... We will probably buy two more in the next week or two but maybe we'll just get 3 more guns... just not sure yet. Would like a 1911 stainless for sure, but don't want a 45 so I'd be looking at a 9mm or 40 again. Any advice would be appreciated....
