Dillion 650 direct from Dillion

Its time to get rid of the lee pro 1000 and get the dillion 650. When ordering direct from dillion is there any duty to be paid or any other surprises one should be aware of.

Order came in 2 boxes. First box (press) got dinged $75 in duty/tax .. second box slid through with no duty. Second box was same value as the press, so really should have been another $75. I got lucky. Each box was just under $600 in value.

It was super fast 3 business day delivery

Dillon products are Made in the USA, therefore, they are duty exempt as per the NAFTA (Free Trade Agreement). Only thing you need to pay is taxes on the declared value of the contents.

The HST on a 650 with casefeeder is about $120, so it sounds like you paid tax and handling only.

Thanks for the tip on CFRAM. I will try them. The shipping on the dillion and case feeder from dillion to nb was quoted at 175.00 by air. Pretty steep and they will not or dont want to ship on the ground.

Make sure it is not shipped UPS or FedEx. Both will charge huge brokerage fees and then on top of that you have to pay our taxes on it.

Make sure they ship USPS it is way cheaper.

Most yank outfits will ship USPS if you ask specifically. Tell em you don't mind the wait. Truth be told you won't be waiting any longer anyhow. USPS is simply a superior service and cheaper too. Doesn't sound right I know, but thats just how it is.

Eguns.com will give you a break on shipping compared to ordering direct from Dillon. The only drawback is that their webstore is down right now, so you will have to call to place your order.
