If you are talking about the failsafe system? (the rod that hangs down from the powder measure that resets it) it should have a threaded end with a plastic and metal wingnut... it should be a tight fit if it's not call dillon for a new one..

However the 1050 only has a 1 year warranty if you are outside of that I'll see what I can do..

**UPDATED adding a picture Yes they are worth 1000 words.

Dillon Precision announces the arrival of the SUPER 1050! The SUPER 1050 features a lengthened frame and a new crank assembly that provides increases functional stroke to accommodate long calibers, yet the handle stroke is at a minimum, meaning less work for the operator. The machine's new frame and crank assemblies have been improved to provide greater strength and smoother operation. The SUPER 1050 is warranted for life from defects in materials or workmanship, plus a one-year, 100-percent warranty against normal wear.

and 1 year on electric and electronic components..

While the press itself only has a one year warrantee, I was under the impression that all the associated systems were covered for life.

BTW, if you can break a 1050 at all, you deserve a new one.

I've had a couple people call me becuase they can't get parts for certatin things... It sorta depends on who you get on the phone... This is a cheap part and they probably will ship one out...

Cheaper for me if they will replace it.. Probably about the same speed since he's out west..

it's the threaded bolt that holds the whole plate assembly on the press. In looking through the downloaded manual, I see it's supposed to be a Nylock nut on the end of that bolt, not a stupid nut with a toothed star washer. That way you can adjust it for tension and leave it be.
parts are incoming from Dillon already!
