Dillon 550 indexing problem.

Hello.
Im having a bit of a problem with my Dillon 550b.
The problem is with the central bolt that holds the shell plate and indexing unit.
Each time I index a cartridge the centre bolt turns with the shell plate and tightens up a bit .
It does this to the point where it tightens the shell plate to much and I can not index anymore.
it has not done this in the past, wonder whats going on.
Has anyone had this problem? How can I resolve it?

There is a little set screw on the side of the ram about 3 inches down. That has to be tightened after you set the main bolt. See the manual....is that what you are describing?

The screw on the left side of the main shaft/ram (#13923 in the parts list) has to be tightened after you adjust the center bolt. mule has is right on.

Yup, the set screw is your problem just like they said. By the way, it just has to be snug, its small and can be easily stripped.
