Dillon 550 vs Lee Pro 1000 questions

latest trend, nothing- i stand by what i've said- the 550 sits in the other room , doing next to nothing b/c of that stupid manual index and the complication of changing the shell holders- it's fine for 308 because that's what it's set up for, but i even use my old turret press than try to change shellholders on that thing- and that's to go to 338 from 308- everything else is lee and i'm thorghly satisfied with it- but it'll be a blue day it heck before you see me buy another 550

I guess it is pretty tough to manually index the shell plate, I don't even think about it, as I am reaching to put a bullet on the next charged case I push it forward, soooo hard.;) Changing shell holders involves loosening a set screw and removing a bolt, are you that uncoordinated that it could be considered a complicated task? If you hate the 550 so much why don't you sell it to somebody who could use it or is it just a point of using it a whining block for a Lee lover. Auto indexing would be nice but not a Lee Pro Slow 1000, never, ever.:p

i won't sell it b/c it does turn out 308 in large numbers,( i have 6 to feed) and i see no point in purchasing something i already have- something the lee doesn't do, and that's rifle calibers-and it's too easy to double charge with the manual index-
