Buy .40cal. Dies and a conversion kit from Dillion or a Dillion dealer. Try Dillion website for pricing. Only takes a few minutes to change over if you have an extra toolhead. Takes me about 10 minutes to go from .38 special to 9 mm, includes changing bushings in the case feeding system. Check in your manual for part numbers. Get your buddy to buy the conversion parts if you don't need them for yourself. I don't remember what the dies and conversion kit cost, but I would'nt think it would too much over a 100.00 140.00 dollars.

The conversion kit around here is $100 and then add the carbide 3 dies set. Decapper, bullet seater, carbide resizer(Dillon $60+, Lee $38 , Lee Carbide Factory crimp die. $19) . I would also buy a toolhead so you don't have to reset your own 40 cal dies when you switch back. $28 for the tool head.
So probably switch over for $200. Using your powder measure and powder check.
