I am curious if anyone is getting delivery of this catalog to their home in Canada.

About a year ago, Dillon made the decision not to send this free to Canada anymore, and began charging a subscription fee for Canadians. I sent in my money for this back in June 2006, and have never received a single copy.

I contacted Steve, the guy at Dillon who handles these subscriptions, and he did indeed confirm my payment and subscription, and said all catalogs were mailed out, and that maybe the problem was the border or customs stopping it (which I find hard to believe!).

Anyway, I asked him to send me a simple letter (no catalog) just to confirm the address they had was correct (which I had already confirmed with him over the phone). That was several months ago, and I never even received the letter.

Today I call back and tell him I still never got the catalog, nor his letter. He then admitted that they did have a problem with some foreign subscriptions but that it was corrected. He offered to refund my subscription, which I said was nice, but I really wanted to receive the catalogs. He then offered to extend my subscription for a year, but I said it was pointless if I was not receiving them.

Once again, I asked he to send me a simple letter to see if the address was correct and that I could receive it. But at this point, I am skeptical.. but I will give it another week or so.

So... as I first said, I am curious if anyone else has had problems getting their catalogs here in Canada?

Thanks

Hit or miss, I've got 2 in the last 6 months.

What's the 'hard to believe part' ? Canada Customs (or whatever they're calling themselves this week) make up their rules on a weekly basis.

I was having the same problem with 'Front Sight' magazine (USPSA). After a few Canadian members complained to them, they started putting it in an envelope - haven't missed an issue since.

Unfortuneatly, customs has now read this post and will resume intercepting my evil U.S. gun magazine. :bangHead:

Don't forget the whole catalogue is available online.

I got mine for Feb. Tell Dillon to place it inside a mailing envelop. I have not missed any of my sub YET. :)

maybe border/customs..

hmmm.. well, perhaps some anti-gun border/customs person is intercepting it if it is open, ie, not in a plain brown envelope. But, what is preventing me from getting a confirmation 'letter' from them?

If there is some interception, I would like to pursue the issue. Whom do you suggest I contact.. Canada Post? Customs?

Appreciate the replies.. thanks!

I pick my copy up at John Williams in Port Perry.I think they are sick looking at me. I usully call in twice a week. ray.

I got the notice that starting 01 Jan 07 they would be charging.

My Jan issue came from Sweden.
