I must admit to being a dillon fan due to the quality of the product and the no bs lifetime warranty. The 1050 and the products with electronics have limited one year warranties.

Well that is, until now. While it’s news to me, Dillon announced in Sept that it was increasing its warranty on the vibratory cleaners to 5 years after conducting a 2 year endurance test of its latest motors.

When was the last time you heard of a manufacturer increasing its warranty by that much?

They'll even replace some items that only carry a 1 year warranty. The buzzer in my powder check started to cut out and they sent me a new one no questions asked. Their customer service is top notch.

I love my Dillon stuff, but I’d wager a bet they are feeling Hornady biting into their market share.

I can't see this having any effect on their decision.
Dillon has a number of military contracts in 40-100mil range.
I can't see them hurting for cash.

I don't see any of the 5 companies (Lee, Lyman, Dillon, hornady, rcbs) or FA hurting for cash. The amount of people getting into reloading is larger than those getting out of it. I mean, just try buying used equipment, everything flies off the EE in seconds unless it's priced higher than new.

I don’t think they are hurting either, but that doesn’t mean they are not aware of their surroundings either.
There was a time when if someone wanted into a progressive press, the only real choice was a 450/550/650.
The Hornady Lock n’ Load has undoubtedly bitten into that.
Hornady wouldn’t have been giving away a bunch of free stuff with the purchase if they didn’t realize they would have to provide incentives to pull people from the blue.
Just one example. There are probably a few more.

You'd be wrong...

No doubt you have some insider info...do tell?

Pay close attention to the "reloader model" sections.

Although not conclusive by any means you can probably see a trend, right?

Don't get me wrong, both manufacture very good products, but the people over at Dillon aren't losing any sleep because of the LNL.

Good info, thanks for providing it.
It would be interesting to see overall stats of retail sales of reloading equipment in the US.
