IS the KISS better than the GSI? I am torn. The KISS looks like something from the plumbing dept, that may be why. But I do like the fact it uses the Dillon die plate.
It worked from day 1 unlike the GSI. I'm not so sure that GSI have it running right yet.
The KISS costs $550 complete for 1 caliber. Conversions cost $150 each.
I have 2 complete conversions plus a partial conversion. The 9mm and 38Sp/357Mag use the same conversion, so I bought the bullet drop and powder drop.
I have 9mm, 38Sp, .40S&W and 45ACP.
The GSI, the last time I heard, was $850 complete for 1 caliber. I have never seen what a conversion kit costs. Unless you buy a toolhead for each conversion, you have to take the dies/powder measure etc apart. PITA, as you have to reset the dies everytime. Toolheads were over $200 each.
KISS publish their prices whereas GSI don't.
As for looking like coming from a plumbers dept. You are right, the support column, base flange, elbow and hopper are ABS pipe. If you don't like the way it looks, paint it, change the support and get rid of the column and flange. It doesn't bother me, that's how they were able to keep the cost down.
The support from Roger at BulletFeeders is nothing short of phenominal. I had a problem with the feed die, it turned out to be MY fault, which I found out AFTER Roger had send me a new one. I called Roger to tell him that the problem was my fault and that to e-mail me a bill so that I could pay. NO was his answer.
