Wow.

I did about 2,000 cases today using my super-swage, and wow.

I used to have an RCBS primer pocket crimp removal tool, it's gone now...and I finally got the parts for the small primer pocket this week, so I went nutz today and did 2K of cases. WOW.

I'm impressed.

Much rejoicing!

If you're thinking about getting one because you have a big stack of crimped primers, don't think twice, just buy it.

BIG thumbs up.

Get two... one for .223 and one for .308 :) Well worth the money. Sure they don't get used much but when they do just the speed and ease of doing a box/bucket of once fired is well worth the $$$

Have you primed the brass yet? I've found that the swaged brass is still a little tricky to prime, and I still end up damaging one primer out of every ten or twenty. Am curious if that's just the way it is, or if others are getting better results (perhaps mine can be adjusted better?). FWIW I've only really used mine for military .308 and .45ACP.

Primed up a hundred cases (ok, I loaded 100 rounds) and was quite pleased by the process. A couple of the primers seemed to slip in a bit too easily, so we'll see if I get any popping out on me.

I was teetering on buying one and now I am convinced. I am not surprised with the results though, as I have never purchased more reliable, usable gear for reloading than that produced by Dillon. I started reloading with less expensive gear and was never really satisfied with the quality of my reloaded ammo untill purchasing Dillon. There is cheaper reloading equipment available but I don't believe it to be as good or as reliable as Dillon. To quote Patrick Sweeney, "You get what you pay for and you pay for what you get!" (2005 Krause)

My pistol/223. rifle press is a Dillon and it is the best piece of sporting equipment I have ever purchased. I am very impressed with both the company and their products;there warranty is the best i have seen of any firearms related product. It is no wonder most of the top shooters in the majority of the shooting disciplines rely on them!!!

The RCBS swager thingie costs around $30-40, and is SLOW.

This thing, I was pumping 10+ cases per minute through it. It's a matter of economy of motion. Having it setup firmly on your bench, and having your supply of cases in a handy spot, and a spot to quickly dump the completed rounds is a good thing.

Goes very fast once it's all up and running.
