I ordered a DIp rail for my CZ 452 and was wondering if any of you that have used one did you use any loctite when installing it? if so did you use purple? Is it necessary as they seem to want an arm and a leg for a small tube of that stuff.

Thanks

On RFC a lot of CZ shooters drop a lead shot (7 1/2, 8) in each hole before using blue or purple Loctite. The set screws are torqued to 6 - 8 inch pounds.

After paying close to $60 plus shipping for a DIP rail, don't skimp on $12 for a 6ml tube of threadlocker. Do it right.

Alternatively, you could use a set of UTG Accushot rings that will hold your scope solidly and it will cost less than $20 at Amazon.

yes, i used loctite purple on my DIP rail on my CZ452.
no problems and love the set up.

is loctite really that expensive?
i picked up a tube of purple, blue and red a few years back, still working through them.

Forgive me for saying, but if you are a actually serious about questioning applying loctite as per manufacturer specifications because of the cost, then I would humbly submit that maybe you should re-consider owning quality rifles like CZs and stick to Mossbergs and such.

Having said that, I understand that sometimes life throws us a curveball and every dollar counts; so as a fellow CGN'r I will offer to send you loctite free of charge. No joke, no judgement, just pm me your mailing info and I'll send you enough to last you a very long time.

Cheers.

I got a guy already sending me some Thanks FLHTCUI.
The shops local only carry the larger quantities and want close to 60 bucks for something I will probably not use again.

If it was something I would use again I wouldn't mind spending the cash.

As for quality firearms I also own nice old 40x so i know my way around them. Its just the paying close to 60 bucks for something I will only use a small quantity of.

Relax guys, its in the mail on Monday or Tuesday at the latest.
I have a 40 ml bottle that is 20 years old and still holding the parts on the Harley together.
I just have a small bottle that will last the OP several guns.
Not a big deal and thanks to the others who offered up.
Rob
