Direct buy from Dillon?

Has anyone purchased directly from Dillon and may have info they can share regarding import fees beyond duties/GST? Their website is vague, probably because they carry some components and accessories that I know have export rules.

It seems the site sponsors don't keep consistent inventory and I don't want to buy bits and pieces from 4 different stores to build a single caliber conversion kit. I don't want to wait several weeks/months for restocks to occur.

If you have first hand learning or know of a Dillon list of easy to export materials I'd appreciate any info you can share.

(I'm looking for 233 conversion components... hen's teeth on the new and used market)
 
back in the day they had no dealers, and it was the only way to get Dillon stuff. I would think they would ship direct. any warrenty stuff comes direct when I have had problems
 
The ship direct but unless it is a big order, you will be hit hard with shipping and import fees....ask me how I know...

There are a number of dealers that if you reach out to them, would add the stuff you want to their next order. That is how I roll now...
 
They do sell direct. Up to a certain size they will ship USPS if you ask. Using USPS (and then CDA Post) you will save the BS "brokerage/import fees" charged by couriers. You still pay GST regardless.

^This. If they will ship direct by USPS it is a good deal. If they use FedEx or courier then you will get a non-disclosed "surprise" charge for brokerage fees at delivery. Quite a substantial charge - expect $50 minimum. If Dillon insists on courier because of the weight, then shop around some more.
 
I just placed an order with them directly for a conversion kit, a couple of powder dies, and a bullet comparator with a couple of inserts...

Came to about US$180.

They charged US $36.03 for Fed Ex to Ontario.

Will follow-up here after it arrives to advise if I got hit with wild "brokerage fees"...

The only reason I went with them is because the conversion kit was not available in Canada and none were expected anytime soon, (45-70 for 650/750)
 
I got a shipment from Dillon 2 weeks ago . 4 toolheads and a couple of shellplates. There story was if I wanted mail they would only ship Airmail . I thought shipping was a bit high at $50.00 plus . I could find heads in Canada but no shell plates , so I placed the order. It took I think about 3 weeks to arrive in my post office. with no farther costs. There was tracking from Scottsdale right to my post office.

when sending by UPS always use the prepaid brokered shipping, it is cheaper that way and the fee is not really that bad. i think it is called ups worldwide. i have been screwed before not using it and always shied away from them until one seller mentioned that service.

titanreloading. has always been good. when ordering Lee stuff the price was always better than the factory. there is a big run on stuff in the US right now thou, so finding stuff maybe hard.
 
When I ordered my 1050 from Dillon, I told them not to ship Fed Ex or UPS because of the rape. The did, however, ship USPS. I paid $5.00 in brokerage fees and, at that time, GST and PST (HST came in 2010 to Ontario).
 
Ordered on July 29th

They shipped on the 30th

Arrived in Ottawa yesterday.

Got an email from FedEx looking for the HST + $10 “tax collection fee”

Called them up this morning and paid - the package was dropped off in the afternoon...

Five days from Arizona to my door..can’t complain...
