One very nice old piece despite the sling swivels and the cheek piece.....someone goofpot screwed around with the screws . I find that this particular site (among many others) turns up some nice firearms from time to time.

Very likely. Generally, Europeans other than the English seem to like that feature on their shotguns.

Funny how Bubba always has to fool with the screws.

What a beautiful gun otherwise!! Vivid case colours remain, and the bluing looks original, too! Hard to believe it's seen much use. I'll bet that Ol' Girl still locks up tight, with the Greener crossbolt.

If that one was already in Canada, I'd consider having some new screws made up.

That one is a beut. Really nice wood, just the right amount of figure. I could do without the sling and cheekpiece but its no dealbreaker.
