Dirty New Gun

are you sure its not packing grease?

We recently recieved a browning Citori shotgun at our store, i opened it up, i assembled, and i put about 15 minutes taking the packing grease out from all over the gun, i never did manage to get the stuff out of the barrel though.

Cant you call the CFO and ask for a registration history for the firearm?

Cheers,
Payam

I purchased a new handgun. Upon initial cleaning I too noticed that it seemed the dirt was a little excessive.
I had some of the same thoughts...'Was my gun used?' 'Did they shoot it after I bought it?','Should I be mad?' ..'I going right back and rip them a new one'...

But after I was done my cleaning. I gave it a super close inspection to see if there was any signs of abuse or use.
There was none. It looked pristine.
So I decided that:
A) It was test fired by the manufacturer
B) The dealer might have test fired it
C) The handgun I received WAS brand new with just a few rounds fired

I trust the dealer I purchased it from would not abuse a customers purchase. I also know the handgun I purchased does work :)
