Was out at my property this morning and notices that some hunters had driven their truck around my land. This spring I had taken the time to plant 720 trees and bushes to start establishing a sheltered area where I plan to build my new home in a couple years. I had allowed wild growth up around the tress to provide them shelter for the winter. Apparently they thought this would be a great place to hunt from being a natural blind. When driving though the field they followed the cleared path I had next to a row of trees and ended up running over a number of the young trees. I would estimate they killed or damaged 50 - 100 trees.
Knew it was hunters because they missed picking up a couple of their spent shells. Not sure what pissed me off more, the fact they killed a bunch of my trees or the used pile of toilet paper I found.
I am seriously considering posting my land as no hunting without landowner permission and a note stating no permission currently granted.
