Disappointed with Aimpoint service

Bought an Aimpoint T1 micro back in January, mounted it up and after a few trips to the range I notice it's a bit loose on the mount... so I take it off my gun and go to tighten it and two of the screws are stripped on the mount... No big deal, this was the last one at the store I picked it up so I'll bite the bullet and send it to aimpoint for warranty.. After all, it has a 10 year warranty!

Well, it's been over 2 weeks now of calling and emailing and I still do not have an RMA number.. The ONLY response I received from Aimpoint was to provide them with all my info and serial number so they could issue an RMA number and I can send it in.. that was 2 weeks ago...

Does anyone know WTF is going on at Aimpoint? Are their products so good they never have any warranty claims and thus don't know what to do? Are they all on vacation?

Do they always take WEEKS to respond to customer inquiries?

Stripped mounting screws on the T1/H1 seem to be a common problem. I used lightly larger diameter screws and torqued them in. No problems with stripping since. The aluminum these things are made from must be extremely soft. Good luck getting it fixed.

I've heard it's common too, but I've also been told they fix it under warranty - no big deal...

I just can't believe these guys can't get their act together and answer a phone call or email.

I bought it from Target Sports, but I didn't realize the vendor was an option.

I assume I can just hand it over to Target Sports or would you prefer I mail it out to you guys?

Thanks!

Just to give credit where it is due;

Target Sport received a new order in and swapped out my broken one, no problems! Props for good service!

FYI - Still never heard back from Aimpoint - so JR, you saved the day! :)
