Disconnector not engaging hammer

So figure i would get back into the m14 game, so i scan the EE and find a nice looking 2009 in a digi desert stock, lots of mags and at a good price. It showed up wedsnday and I do the after assembly test and it fails!! URG!! While holding down the trigger the hammer follows the bolt home, if I #### the rifle without the trigger pressed it resets. SO....the sear is engaging but the disconnector isn't...not very happy. I PM'd the seller and waiting for a response. If he is un-willing to rectify this, what is my next step??

Is that the factory stock or a GI or aftermarket? I ask because my Norc M14 worked perfect in it's original stock but had the hammer follow through issue with a wood GI stock I bought. Failed the same test you just described. Stock simply needed some fitting to the gun to cure the issue. Hungry actually suggested to me that I get a GI glass stock to practise on first before fitting the wood stock.

Its a factory desert digital stock, i'm thinking(hoping it is the stock) as when i put the trigger group in without the stock it passes the test...

Probably an easy fix with a small file at the trigger pads on the stock.

Got it passing the function test!! Trigger pads needed sanding, more than I thought it would need, oh well, now I get to shoot it...yay!!
