Disposing deer hide/bones etc Funny?

I try make my animal bones look like human remains scares away the trespassers or maybe I'm just setting myself up for trouble =)

I live in the 'burbs and one time we could see the emergency response team coming up the street, through the neighbors' yards and doing an 'assault' on our yard.

We had some moose hides rolled up and in the utility trailer ready to be disposed of. I guess someone had walked by, seen them, and called the cops saying there was a 'body' in the trailer.

You should of heard them laugh when they checked it out. They never did knock on the door.....

Leave or deposit the hide and other remains in the bush the same as you do with the guts. Nature will look after it. The hair will end up as bird nests, the flesh and bones will be eaten by critters and scavengers. Anything that's left will decompose returning nutrients to the earth. Go back a year later and there'll be nothing left. What do you think happens to the numerous deer that die off every winter? How many dead deer or for that matter any animals or critters have you ever found in the woods? No one goes around gathering them up for the garbage or hide depot.

About 8 or 9 years ago, myself and a couple friends collected a real fresh roadkill doe on our way home from the bar. The deer wasn't badly damaged so I gutted and skinned it in the yard and all the crap went into a heavy duty garbage bag. A couple days later we went into town and took the bag to dispose of. I wanted to just pull off the side of the road in a quiet deserted area and cut the bag open and leave the stuff in the ditch for the animals to dispose of, it would have been gone in a couple days at the most. My friend didn't like that idea. So when we stopped for gas he saw that there were a couple of large dumpsters there and asked the attendant if we could throw a bag of deer guts in it? The guy looked at us like we were nuts and said "uuuhhhhh, no...." We left there and hit the Tim Hortons down the road for coffee and going through the drive through we see 2 dumpsters sitting in the back, we pull up to it and I jump into the back of the truck and grab the bag and toss it in. When I got back in the truck I'm laughing and he asks what's so funny. I tell him that both the bins were completely empty and probably won't be picked up for another week. This is July and it's freaking hot. I wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere that bin in weeks time....

odd about the landfill.... where do dead livestock and pets go in Stouffville? or where does the municipality take the roadkill it collects?

They go to the north fourty:D
Our yotes or farmers with dogs look after the road kill. I've never seen a dept of holidays truck pick up a dead animal.

My only problem with disposing of animal remains is the girlfriend has trouble lifting the garbage cans of remains to empty them into the bin at the local dump..... :D A dozen geese in a can weighs a lot..... Deer remains get tossed over the back fence and I've got a fox that picks at them all winter...

I had a pig carcass for Bear bait this August. It was in a plastic bag in the heat for 5 days before hand. I can imagine the smell...

The hide with hair on is a good treat for dogs when cut into strips. It is a natural dewormer and your dogs colon will thank you!
