Hi,

So I bought a bunch of FNM .223 Rem from a guy at my club... long story short, 5 rounds out of 30 had primers blow on me... my gunsmith looked at my firing pin and it is OK... so the problem is with the ammo...

My question to the group is... how can I safely dispose of a large number of unsafe rounds? I doubt that I can put them out in my blue box!

Thanks

EB

Or see if there is someone local to you who reloads .223 and wants to buy them for the components. You may not get what you paid for them, but you will get something back.

Get a bullet hammer pop the bullets out dump the powder on your grass in the spring and reload with the type of powder you know. Then in the spring you will have green grass and bullets to shoot.

salvage what you can (assuming you have enough to make it worthwhile).

FNM is probably berdan primed? or is it boxer?

FNM will be boxer primed.
Either sell or give these away to someone for component salvage. Don't give them to the cops....they already have a huge amount of ammunition that we've paid for and will not appreciate your generosity.
