First, dont get me wrong i have many Larue mount and they are all top notch quality.

In fact, when you use them you dont want to use anything else...

Problem is i have lost a screw on one of my mount. I have send a e-mail to larue and explain that i have lost a screw and would like to buy one. I have specified that everything will be on my freight no problem.

They anwsered back to me saying they can't not ship a screw due to ITAR regulation. Ok i'm not a expert with that but thats happen to me with others companys and they have shipped screw with no problems.

I have replied to them to have a canadian source for that little ####ing screw that will fit on my ring but they simply awnsered me that with ITAR this is impossible.

Honestly, i can't imagine they can't not ship and help me with this.

I'm very dissapointed thinking i have buy hundred and hundred of dollars in their products and they deal with me like that.

Again buy Canadian when you can !!

Just ask them for the thread dimensions and buy one here?

LaRue really doesn't care about the Canadian market, why bother buying from them?

Thanks for trying to helping me !

Something is sure no more Larue for me. Yes they have amazing stuff but if this is the way they deal with canadian custumer, #### them !!

I'm on the wait for a near base for one of my rifle and i think this will be the way to go for rings and base.

I agree that larue not selling to Canada is a p*ss off. yes.

but let's put ourselves in Mark's shoes on the shipping one screw thing.
you have a successful business, with high demand product and a great distribution network (yourself). This is in the land where government agencies will run operations like "fast and furious"

itar regs prob state that he can't even send one screw across that little line without paperwork.

Now, how easy is it for one government agent looking for a raise to send one email as a "Canadian; and a big fan" (who isn't really supposed to have your stuff) for one little screw.

Fines, name drug through mud, criminal charges all because one little part "screwed" things up.

just my 0.02, but like wu-tang clan, I think ITAR is nothing to f*ck with.

THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS A CANADIAN CUSTOMER. Larue is not approved for export, they don't care about Canadians, Brits, Aussies, or anyone else. Their products are good to go, their owner and service is not. Swearing off a company because two governments have sh*t for brains puts you in the same category. Honestly, I prefer my ADM mounts now. A much better design, cheaper, and slightly more readily available in Canada.

Curious why you say ADM is better? I have a Larue PVS14 mount and was looking at possibly getting a T1 mount.

I like the tool-less adjustment system on their locking tabs. I also like that their locking mechanism clamps the entire "bar" against the rail as opposed to the small caming surface on the Larue. I wouldn't hesitate to run either, but I like the benefits of the ADM.

Your missing the point, a cap screw is not ITAR controlled, Larue is just an asshat because he is an asshat.

I think ITAR is just out of control. I can't stand it anymore. does anyone in Canada make mounts ?!!? or anything for that matter? other than Elcan scopes? llol

ohhhhh Caaaaanadaaaaa

Oh I'm well aware that Mark is a clown. The bottom line from his standpoint is that business is booming in the USA, why the f*ck would he care about Canada and some guy looking for a machine screw he can find locally?
