I don't recall a good drag out and fight on rail covers as of late, what do you prefer and why ?

I guess we have 3 types of rail covers,

1) Ladder Type
2) Lock on Full panel (KAC, Tango Down, Etc.)
3) Pop On Fit Full Panels (Magpull)

for me I love the KAC rails for the most part, BUT I do not find I use them all that much and usually just put the pop on magpull ones on because I can put them on the top rail and they will match all around, I use the ladder type around the flashlight mounted on the side rail so my delicate hands will not be cut up while shooting.

SO I guess for general use I prefer the magpull Pop On fit ones.... but in my opinion KAC is king for a 2 way range rifle.

Whats your opinions and why.... discuss.

I use Magpul ladder rails on everything.
They are light, easy to R&R and give a streamlined appearance.

I use Tango Down panels at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock and ladder rails on 12 o'clock

The new Magpul XTP panels look promising 4 colors snap together easy to make camo :) pattern might give them a try.

I like the rubber labber because I can chop them into smaller pieces.

The edges of the rails are eating away my gloves - the 10 dollars rubber (which I still think it is a rip off for a piece of rubber) saves my gloves which are 35- 60 dollars a pair!

Ladder all the way. They're the simplest, lightest way to eliminate the rail's sharp edges and that's what rail covers are made for. If you want to camo the rifle, paint it...
