Snap caps protect the firing pin. You still dry fire the gun as usual, but you load the snap cap into the chamber. I bought some A-Zoom ones which are solid anodized aluminum in the shape of a 9mm round with a rubber/plastic "primer" that takes the force of the firing pin. I've been doing alot of dry firing lately.

Thanks, I've been going to the range every chance I get since early December. Practice really helps.

What is offhand shooting? I've heard the term but don't know what it means.
