DIY home-build Big Bore PCP ?

Has anyone here actually built a big bore (.357 or up) PCP?
There a few guys in the US that have.

There are a few books out there.

H.M. Buckley called The Modern Pneumatic Airgun builds a standard PCP.

There’s one on how to build a Giradoni air rifle but you need to cast the receiver and there might be a third out there as well but I can’t remember off the top of my head.

For DIY’s the Crosman 2240 get modded a lot. It’s probably easier to mod a 2240 as your first build than start from scratch unless you have a shop and the knowledge on how to use it.

Thanks for the info. I had not heard of the Buckley book before.
Now I just have to find one for sale.

I think I'll stay away from the Caselman design, though.
A full-auto airgun with enough bonk to be classed as a firearm is a bad combo...

Anything over 495fps or (can’t remember the joules limit anymore) is classed a firearm so be careful with the Big bore PCP... buying one good building one bad.
