There is a nice big thread on another forum about DIY MOJO remotes with a very little bit of info on how to wire up the Lucky Duck brand spinning decoys but it doesnt explain it perfectly so I figured why not have one just for the LD (Lucky Duck) model decoys to make it easier for those using the search function to find LD remotes.
I have 4 LD's and priced out the actual factory remotes and being I'm in Canada with the current exchange rate I would end up with 4 remotes and have to spend about $300 to outfit all 4 birds.
I ended up buying this set of remotes and receivers off of ebay for $50 SHIPPED. This seller is in the US and has other setups with 1 remote and 1 receiver or 1 remote and multiple receivers etc etc. I opted for the 4 receivers with 2 remotes that run all 4 birds, this way we have a spare remote, or if I take my 2 decoys away with me, I have my remote and my buddy that owns 2 of them has his own remote for his decoys. Anyways heres the system we bought.

Heres a video of them in action with me turning them all on and off,

Heres a picture from 115 yards away and both remotes ran all 4 decoys perfectly.

All of these decoys are running on 4 AA batteries for a total of 6 volts in the decoy and this doesnt seem to be a problem so until we see it being an issue, we wont be replacing the 4 AA battery pack with rechargeable 6 volt batteries.
As for wiring the receivers, it was pretty simple once I talked to my buddy and we were able to wire each decoy in about 10 minutes.
Receiver black spliced into battery pack black
Receiver red spliced into battery pack red
1 Receiver white spliced into motor white
2nd Receiver white spliced into orange wire on decoy toggle switch.
Toggle switch in the forward position runs the motor continuously
Toggle switch in the middle position everything is turned off
Toggle switch in the rearward position and the motor only runs with the remote.
