DIY Rubber wrap around grips, Hogue wont like this.

Here is how i make my own rubber wrap around pistol grips.
1. Cut a lenght of rubber bicycle inner tube
2. Wash with hot water, dry slip over your grip, works on rifles too. Get creative

No need for rough grip tape

I haven't done this with my guns but I've used the various inner tube sizes for other things.

Hint, if you turn the section of tube inside out you'll hide the molding seam flashing.

Apparently if you spray hairspray inside a slip on grip it goes on easier & when it dries the spray keeps it from moving around.

I use the same trick to disable grip safety on my GSG-1911. However, I store the gun without the rubber sleeve, to avoid moisture collecting under it.

I don't think I'd use this method for installations over wood...worked great on my freeride bike, but now I use ODI lock on's

Yeah, it's more of a trick for synthetics like Glocks, etc.
