Its official. :dancingbanana: My Remington 870 with a Dlask 12.5" Barrel and a Mesa Tactical "AR 15" stock complete with dual shell holders has taken a 6 point whitetail deer. Not the biggest deer around, but definately a clean kill. Kill distance was around 20m. Punched a very nice hole through the deer. It bled out quickly. All in all, a job well done. Now if I could just find a chrono to see how fast it was going. :p

If I didnt see your eyes light up when I put it on the rack at EESA Saturday, I would call you Wendy for that comment! :D

I sighted it in at 50m and every shot I took at 100m was on the steel. It took 30 slugs before I found a kind it liked. Then around 10 more to see what it would do at 50 and 100. With that meat tenderizer AR15 stock, 40 rounds is alot...

I can relate. I've been sighting in my 870 with a 20" rifled barrel, and am feeling pretty darn tenderized myself. You must be getting some pretty stout recoil with that setup.

OH, and BTW congratulations, and when can we expect pictures?

I was shooting my 11-87 with the 21" slug barrel and I'll tell ya it's nice to have the gas action taking the recoil!:D

^ Yep. Brenneke works well out of smoothbore, as do Challenger slugs, Hard to find either around here, although I understand Challenger are very common out east.

Pics will be coming once I get the bloody camera charged so I can down load the pictures...
