Dlask 1911 Mag Sale!!

It's an ACT magazine.

And you get what you pay for.

It's not my choice of magazine.

actually I have tried almost every single trype of 1911 magazine out there. chip McCormic shooting star, power 8 mags, power 10 mags, match grade, wilson combat, mec gar, USA mags, colt factory mags, metalform, USGI mags, pachmayer, and lots of no name brands.

these mags are ACT mags with the dlask name on them but they are the most reliable magazines I ever tried. the follower doesn't move forward like Chip McCormic mags. the springs are strong and don't bind up when fully loaded, and the steel is a heavier gauge than other magazines. similar to the thickness of power mags. the follower has little side to side play so it doesn't have a chance to jump over the slide stop and jam up your gun like the split followers do

my only wish is that someone would make a magazine with this kind of reliablility and quality that is flush with the bottom of the mag well. kind of like trying to find non extended safeties and arched mainspring housings. impossible

The Act magazines are the smoothest and most reliable magazines I use. My only complaint is the flimsy base pad. I shoot PPC and I've had a couple of base pads break after dropping them just a few times. All my base pads were cracked after 8 months of mild use. If you are just shooting at a bench and aren't dropping them onto gravel or concrete they're perfect. However, Dlask replaced all my base pads free of charge.

I have 5 of these - one came with my new STI - great mags IMHO. Much better mags than my other Chip McCormics. Agreed though, the base pads are abit weak - don't drop on concrete too often.

Grant Chow, I think I was at Dlask when you came in and got new mag bases exchanged for the ones that cracked. I was just telling my buddy how reliable these mags are when you came in with some broken mags. hahaha

Took advantage of this sale as well, just got'em today.

I was surprised to see they're identical to the ones that came with my S&W 1911 (except instead of the S&W logo, it says DLASK).

Very happy with my purchase!

I have a couple and they seem to be well made. My only complaint is that they aren't reliable with SWCs in my Norinco because the round isn't held at a sufficiently nose up orientation compared to the Norinco GI-style magazines. The occasional SWC will hang up on the edge of the barrel feed ramp but TC or RN bullets work fine.

When I was shooting 45, I had a Kimber TLE II and a SIG P220, for the Kimber I had bought 10 Wilson Combat mags, fantastic product, for the SIG, I bought 10 of the Novak mags, they were made by Act Mag for Novak with the Novak logo on them, and they work flawlessly. I bought 1 for my Kimber to compare, it worked every bit as good as my Wilson mags.

Ran them all summer.....

I used them for the whole summer in my Kimber, not an issue, as soon as they went on sale I bought a bunch.... Great product, not sure about the base pad issue, I only drop mine on Grass.

I ordered a couple in stainless, they sent me blued. Asked them to refund the difference they never did. Which was $8 plus tax.

Also their website says $8 dollars to ship but they charged over $12, cost was only $7. You don't find out you are being charged more until you recieve your visa bill.

They are good mags, but they need to fix the website for shipping costs and ordering the mags so you get what you ordered.

Looks like a good deal? Anyone tried these?

I'll take 10.

I ended up buying new mags off the EE. lol We'll see how good they are, but I needed other parts and I saved a bundle, so it's whatever.

Glad to hear they worked out for some folks though, I'll be checking with Dlask regularly, as I like their products and service, you have to phone though.
