Dlask 6.5" (Post#89 for Review and Pics)

is anyone just able to make their own barrel like this for themselves, or does one need to be a manufacture to do so.

No you cannot just make your own, has to be a "Factory" made barrel. Probably licensing etc. that goes along with it.

It does not make any sense that I can only cut my barrel to 18" but they can sell a 6.5" NR shotgun.
I hope these companies making 6.5-14" barrels capitalize with huge profits before the liberal CFO's catch on.

no im not saying to cut a barrel down to that length, but drill a piece of appropriate steel, at attach a barrel extension etc. to have your one and only hancrafted barrel that u made?

I was on Dlasks' web site the other night and my kid got a look at one of those "Useless soon to be banned when the liebs get back in power next year" 6.5" Shotguns. "Oh Man, that's cool." He said. Should be here around the middle of next week I'm hoping. The little s**t softened up the wife first, so when I jokingly said "I should get that." She said "Fine." Man I'm going to put him to work on her from now on.

Oh and by the way I'm involved with the CPC, the WRA and a member of the NFA. As well I go out of my way to convince non gun owners that we're not freaks.

I repeat.........how many of you that are spending hundreds of dollars on snubby shotguns haven't ponied up a measly $45 to join & support the CSSA so you might have a fighting chance of keeping your new acquisitions????

I agree with what you are saying, but the fewer people who own these things, as was the case with the Spas 12, the easier it will be for a confiscation to take place. If owning a super short shotgun is important to anyone reading this, get one right now, while it is legal. Then if some nitwit manages to pass an OIC prohibiting your gun, you can be pre-prepared to fight the issue with a legal challenge, hopefully with the support of many other owners, which failed to happen under C-17 as far as I know. With any luck we may live long enough to see the end of the long gun registry which is at least is a step in the right direction. As for me, I've often lost gear while canoeing . . . can't seem to keep the damn thing upright.

It showed up today. Thanks CFC, you bunch of numpties. I guess they forgot about the transfer, after they ok'd it. Either way, outstandingly cool shotgun and just the ticket for home or outside self defense. I can't wait to throw a few dozen down range. And then the upgrades start.

1. Get Arwen Ace/local smith to thread it for chokes.
2. Get threaded choke tube.
3. Find a 3" sabot that stabilizes.
4. Hunt for black bear.
5. Post video/pics.
6. Bask in the awesomeness.

in bc, hunting regs consider it a handgun b/c of the barrel being shorter than 12"

I imagine that it would be great for driving down logging roads where there are plenty of grouse.

So I took my new lil baby out ot the range today. And as luck would have it, shooting this monster was one of the few highlights of the day. Man is this thing a hoot. Not for the weak though, She kicks like a Mule....So I'm thinking a girly recoil reducing stock is going to be one of the first things going on. But it grouped ok, till the flinching started. Next time I'll bring Jr. so I can get some video.:shotgun:
