I've got my 12.5" on order. I'm told that they are hoping to get it shipped on Tuesday. Finish is going to be blasted and blued, with a blade sight.

Also talked to Joe the other day. He's enthusiastic about this project to say the least. According to him they are going to be producing enough barrels to satisfy the market all accross Canada. In addition to the 12.5s and the 14s, he is talking about 16" ones so that folding stocks can be used too.

You should get a 1-800 number and charge for that - cause that's EXACTLY what i was thinking :) nice little knox copstock folder, and you'd have a handy little blaster that's an easy carry for animal defense :) Tilll they let us have pistols.
 
Is it the 12.5 that's the same length as the magazine tube?

Hmmm......I think the 12.5 and the Brobee adaptor/CAR stock combo on my 870 should still hit 26" OAL. Might have to do some measuring. Wouldn't that make a nice little package!

The 12.5" comes to the end of the mag tube cap, here is a 12.5" Dlask with 16 and 18" Remington bbls. The scale is a bit screwed by the camera but you get the idea.

i have one now thats 20" but i was hopeing they had them in 12.5 or 14" for winny damn it i guess i am gonna have to start saveing for a nice liberal defence gun

Everybody knows that the 870's are for ZOMBIE defense! You know, drooling, brain dead, glassy eyed..... oh. Oh yeah. Guess that's pretty much a liberal now that i think of it..

Can you use a Surefire forend with a 12.5" barrel? Would the light stick out far enough that the bezel to be damaged by the muzzle blast of a magnum load? I would hate to waste a $300 dollar light on the first shot!
