Well,

I finally managed to shed the last piece of ugly furniture on my CZ-858 and install my AR-Stock I've had lying around thanks to this sweet little adapter made by Dlask!

This is the same item that VZ58.net will be selling.

The finish and fit are excellent. I was very impressed with the fit - it's tight (in a good way)!

Anyway... picture time:

I bought the stock long time ago from ACE.Ltd in USA when they shipped to Canada - $120+'ish.

VZ58.net has a price of $45 listed for the adapter. :)

haha, this cz858 world is a small one:)
after reading the responses i got on my stock question thread, i pm'd urban ops(stormwerkz) regarding an ar15 stock adapter that folds.
this was his response, and i'm a little confused as i'm not sure what difference the ACE stocks are to regular buffer tubes.

i like the look of the fab defence folder wolverine carry's, but at $275.00 its more than i want to spend.
thanks

The closest thing I can offer will be the 3rd Vz adapter(SA-VZ58-03) from StormWerkz which will be online Thursday or Friday. It is designed to take ACE skeleton stocks but there are other things you can bolt on such as hinges or anything with the same screw pattern.
An example would be the SA-VZ58-03 with a stock folding mech and universal carbine adapter. And although I don't like to give ACE any of my possible business they do make a hinge with an integral carbine rear that would bolt on the new adapter and may be a less expensive and less cluttered way to go for now.

i do like the look of the factory stock profile, but i just don't find it very comfortable:(
as to the ar stocks, why not, they are fairly common, adjustable, comfortable, and many have storage options as well as integrated sling mounts.
the question is, why don't all guns come with one from factory:p

Please help a nub that has no AR experience. What should I be buying to make a collapsable AR stock mount up to this thing? Just for example's sake, would this be everything I need, too much, or too little?

it depends on if you're in canada or usa, as i believe folding stocks are getting difficult to ship across the border, but some guys seem to be having luck with brownells and magpul ctr stocks.
basically what you need is a cz858 to ar15 buffer tube adapter plate( see vz58.net or stormwerkz.com) and a buffer tube, stock, and castle nut, no springs or such needed.
then you're laughing all the way to coolness:)
also the factory stock removal was a serious pain for me, as my tire iron kept slipping from the screw:mad:

I'm in Canada, and don't want to buy from there, just the first place that came up with google.

Thanks for the help on the parts list!

If the tire iron is slipping, grind the point back to make it thicker until it's just able to get in the slot. If you keep slipping you'll strip the hell out of it and have to smash the stock off.

i eventually got the stock off using an angled wrench for leverage.
as to stocks, i know badboybeeson has some plain jane car stocks listed on his site for around 75.00 with the buffer tube and accessories, then all you'd need is the $45.00ish adapter from either vz58 or stormwerkz:)
btw, i just finished cutting the bridge on my handguard, as per curtton's tutorial in the faq section, and slightly filing down the 2 prongs, and now my handguard comes off without removing the scout mount:D

There is a folder in the works right now (for CAR stocks).
Last details are not decided yet,
but it is possible to look like the one in the center of the image here:

The top retaining slot: US Vz.58 receivers are not split across the top, back, side like that. They are contiguous, and smooth, with only a female screw hole in the back of the reciever. This wouldn't work on US VZ's.

US Receivers do not have that cut-out in them. Do all Canadian VZ's have that?

I have 2 US Vz's in front of me and both look just like in the pic.

Yes, all Canadian VZ's do have that (to my knowledge). Interesting that the US ones do not. I'd too like to know how the cover stays in place.

Anyway, the knub could be filed flat easily to fit :)
