Dlask dar22 ....anyone shooting them?

Any Dlask owners out there care to comment on the accuracy and performance of their Dar22 rifles.

They look like a great package straight from Dlask arms.

We have two DAR22 Builds... not a complete from Dlask, but using the Dlask DAR22 Receivers, 12.5" Bull barrels and Dlask V-Blocks... we really love these guns... the are compact, well made and very accurate. We also have two new DAR22 Sterling builds underway... we are very much looking forward to shooting these new configurations.

Mine just showed up yesterday. Ive probably put 400 rounds through it already. I really like it. Joe does a great job and it is very accurate. Nice trigger, fit and finish, great package and well worth the money. Great customer service too. No resgrets. I think i would buy a second one just to have it. You won't be dissapointed.

You have to try and find out.
For Dlask barrels, however, stay away from anything CCI, like Mini Mags,
Blazer, Stinger, Velocitor, etc.
But go ahead and try any Winchester, Federal or target ammo.

I had Joe chamber for CCI loads specifically... ours shoot best with CCI SV. We have zero FTF/FTE with the exception of unfired rounds which occassionally won't eject... I try not to have unfired rounds... :D

But the creepy doc is correct... Joe recommends Winchester and AE loads.
 
I haven't researched the specs but is there a significant dimensional difference between the Winchester and CCI ammunition?

Mine likes Federal 525 bulk pack.

It's a 10.5 inch barrel DAR Reciever and DAR Top rail.

Enough to make the CCI impossible to chamber properly
in late Dlask barrels.

i shot cci it chambered just fine... I found the Federal bulk pack just worked well and is cheaper so i shot it instead..

My Dlask 16.5 loves CCI Mini Mags .. but hates Blazers ;)

It will also shoot any bulk 22lr ammo rather efficiently (AE, FED_Blue, WIN) and with good results but I only buy the CCI Mini Mags now.

As for a custom build using a DAR22 ... it's on my things to do list :p
 
Hey I've never heard of Dlask until seeing this post so I have no knowledge about this topic.

I was just wondering what the main difference is between it and a ruger 10/22. After reading through some posts and websites if I am not mistaken it seems that their parts are interchangeable? If someone could give me a brief run down about this gun I'd appreciate it.

It is basically an aftermarket Ruger receiver.

The Dlask DAR receiver is interchangeable with Ruger. It will accept all Ruger parts and stocks. It is aluminum with a reinforced top to prevent "humping" and anodized for finish. The receivers are a little higher than the Ruger so they won't fit into certain "chassis" systems though. Dlask also offers 10/22 barrels and other parts.

It is the general opinion that it is superior in quality, build, fit and finish over stock Ruger. I have a couple of each and agree with this.

He has 3 recivers to pick from flat top like orginal and ones with built on rails mine on the top is flat stop with his rail added on ie screws so I can take it off if I want.
