Good day,

I'm currently putting together an 8" 10/22 and I'm looking to keep this non restricted but trying to find a stock that will suite this build is tricky. Does anyone have any suggestions for a .920 barrel? I've been scouring the equipment exchange for a while and just no luck.

Thank you!

G.Mitchell,

The short LOP stock, was it a Hogue channeled for a .920? I was thinking of purchasing one of their compensators (I know its a .22) for length. With that extra inch from the compensator would that still keep the rifle in the NR category?

Thank you

Any 10/22 wood stock can easily be modified to work with an 8" .920 barrel (cut the forend to the required length and open up the barrel channel with a socket wrapped in sandpaper - just make sure the overall length is not less than 26").
Lots of CGN members have used this Boyds stock (available from Dlask) with an 8" barrel:

I modified one to use with a 6" barrel (this could have been NonRestricted if the folding stock was pinned to prevent folding - this one is not pinned):

I used a Choate and sanded the barrel channel to fit the .920".

I like short length of pull 12.5" or so which made a 9" barrel necessary.

This was my sbr project...

Thanks,it's a heavily modified factory carbine stock.Since that pic was taken I did some more shaping on the pistol grip to fit my hand better.
