dlask stepped barrels

i have one on my new DAR22 builds. Ive put just over 1000 rounds thru it and its every bit the same barrel as there full bull barrels for accuracy, minus the front heavy weight. Thats my favorite part about these new barrels, the rifle just feels perfectly balanced in your hands. I have a few Dlask full bull barrels and a couple factory ruger bull barrels but all of my future builds will be getting the new stepped barrels.

Right on thanks for the info I always really liked the look of the .920 but the .850 will grow on my i'm sure. Does it look good on the gun? I dont think i've seen a pic of one on a stock

this is inside of hogue overmolde stock. slightest gap at the front but fits very nice. still waiting for my thread cap and xb5 to be machined. It took some convincing to get me to try this new barrel cause i also love the look of the full bb but the feel alone has made it worth while and the look has grown on me.

Heh heh ... your welcome, although all the work was done by Dlask. I submitted the idea for my own ... I asked Joe to make me a stainless steel version of this barrel back in March. These appeared on the website just before I was told mine was done. My barrel was made to specs that fit the description of the current offerings from Dlask. I kind of figured that they mad more because it was better for them to make batches instead of a one off. I think that they look better than the tapered and the weight savings versus the full .920.

Mine should be in next week and pics to follow :D ;)

Very nice thanks for the pic that is the first one i've seen with a stock. You have the same idea I am goin for. Hogue green stock bipod, barrel, with some trigger work, damn she will be sweet. Somthing clean looking that is a straight shooter. I feel like a little kid thinking about this build ahah.

Hey Partner... is yours a 16 incher??? I see that you're likin' it... cool. How much weight does it save over a .920 16"???

Yes it's a 16.5" and I do love it. Ran a bunch of rounds thru it Sunday to break her in and this Sunday I'll be doing my side by side accuracy test with my other dlask and factory Ruger Bb. Actual weight I'm sure of but I can weight them side by side tomorrow at work and get back to you. I'm going to assume it's not that much in actual weight but the overall swing weight is much less and the characteristic front heavy feel is completely gone. Oh and still waiting a little something special from the "D" man to top of that scope rail but I have something temporary on there for now.

"D" has a new shipment coming in on Wednesday, I've got two more on the way... interested in the barrel weights.

Looks like a great Gopher getter.

Whats Dlask going to do with MB/Comp for the threaded barrel? you said you're getting a cap. I assume it's 1/2-28 but most 10-22 stuff is .920. Is he planing on doing .85 stuff or is it going to be chamfered back up to .920?
