Dlask/Tacord awesomeness

Nice. Looks similar to how I'd like mine. How much are you into it?

I hate to say but its my most expensive gun lol, for everything done to date (all new parts) just shy of 3 g's. I do cring when i think about it but its a gun i will never part with. Took me 7 years of testing various pump shotguns to get to this, imo the best of the best.

Looks great but me personally I'd never remove irons and rely solely on an optic that will fail at some point.

That’s my only criticism, I’ve had a 14” barrel with no front sight and after using a rds for a year I installed iron sights on it and took off the rds. Otherwise it’s a great looking 12g, I bet it works well.

Awesome build man!

What is the OAL with the stock collapsed? Dlask has a bit of a sale on now and I'm not sure if I should get the 10" or the 8.5" because I want to put the Mesa stock adapter on and keep it NR at it's shortest stock position if possible.

Don't go out of your way to get measurements but if you do happen to know them it would be appreciated thanks.

It's easy to run up a bill on a build.

Someone asked me how much I was into on my 14" build based on an HP9-1 and the amount was kinda embarrassing......

Lol, ain’t that the truth. I added up what it cost me last time put an 870 together, aside from having the barrel threaded I did all the assembly and polishing etc etc and I came in at $700. I already had the stock set from another gun and the rest was small parts, it adds up fast when you’re having someone else machine and paint etc etc.

The 8 1/2 is just legal with the Mesa and a Magpul CTR.

These are what you're looking at:

The 10" is the shortest barrel length where its still practical to run a horizontal forend, I'd want a vertical grip if going any shorter.

I agree, when i first shot the gun (just the way it came from Dlask) i put a target out approx 12 meters, centered the bead at the bullseye, fired and hit nothing lol. I was like wtf? was it a bad round. Fired again with the same results. It was over 6 inches low at 12 meters. In time i plan to either get another 10" barrel with a Remington type pedestal bead or just have one installed on the barrel i have.

No problems with the Mesa setup on 10" , like mentioned i also had a 8.5 years ago with that stock setup.

Just ordered a Tacord Nightshift to keep the 10" company. Going to look into getting a 14" barrel made up for it.
