Well they are definitely not restricted with the full stock as it meets overall length requirements but the debate is still on about it with the pistol grip only.
it will take a court case to settle the pistol grip under 26 inch controversy .i have shot pistol gripped shotguns and i am not a big fan of them .i own a short barreled dlask and its a fun gun . on the down side you had better be wearing good hearing protection as they are super loud.i made a new front grip for mine by cutting down a remington forend as i did not care for the original grip .it took an hour of machine shop work using a power hacksaw lathe and milling machine . i used the original for a pattern .i did not care for the rails or the strap on the original .they are unrestricted with the full stock but as i said it will take a court case to find out if they are unrestricted with the pistol grip as c.f.c.will tell you that you have created a pistol .when i say i am not a big fan of pistol gripped shotguns i am talking about pump guns as i do not think the front end is designed to take the recoil that is transmitted through the hands .that being said i still like to shoot them now and then for the fun of it .
I've got a 1200 Defender with a Knox stock and no worries with the pistol grip on that. I'm thinking about getting a Dlask....Once I can get it past the "Boss".
I personaly wouldn't go shorter then say 12 inch barrel. No power with anything shorter an the shot just go's everywhere but were you want. Look it up on youtube.
I don't know about that - i seem to recall tootall or one of the boys chrony'ing it with slugs and there wasn't that much difference. Obviously you're going to lose some speed, but not THAT much.
My biggest beef is the 8.5" shotgun is too short for hunting in bc. However, I'll have to check the hunting synopsis, I believe it is legal for zombies.
