Just looking for some first hand feedback with this scope. Considering getting one of these for a 22 or possibly on a centerfire rig. How's the glass? G4P reticle ok? My buddy has the dmr 2 and it's a nice scope for the price he paid. For $2k I'd be disappointed. The G3 reticle isn't good though hence the interest in a DMR3. Thanks

No love for the DMR’s? I have a dmr 2 pro and have been happy with it so far, but I would also like to hear people’s opinions if the dmr 3’s are a step up.

I have a couple DMR2 and a couple HDMR2, and a buddy just got a DMR3.

The only difference is the G4 reticle and the 25 yard parallax rather than 50, so for a 22 it's an advantage.

The G4 reticle adds the floating center dot and some windage dots extending the X-mas tree outward, which was a flaw with the G2 and G3. It still has that silly 1.25mil mover hash.

I didn't pay anywhere near retail for mine, but I am curious when you say for $2k you'd be disappointed, what scope out there for same price is measurably better?

I don't think the DMR2 is a bad scope by any means. But the combo of glass and the G3 reticle at $2k would leave me feeling a bit let down. That said, if the reticle was better I'd be happier with it at close to that price. My buddy got his for $1100 which I think is a steal. I'm more interested in the dmr3 for the upgraded glass and better reticle. Not alot of information on them in the wild though

I just put one on my sons ruger precision rimfire. I have never liked bushnell, and was a little unsure of if I should buy this. I have zero regrets. Glass in fantastic, turrets are awesome, reticle is really nice. I have 2 vortex PST gen 2's and I will say the bushnell glass is nicer. I also have a razor with the tremor 3 reticle and although the bushnell is not quite up to par with it I do not know if the double the price is worth it for the razor.
The two things I am not a fan of are the lack of illumination and the throw lever.
The throw lever is just ok. Illumination is nice for me as it makes it a little more huntable or adds some contrast at times.

I have fired almost 400 rounds from 50-350 yds. Turrets are exact and POI is perfect. Absolutely no issues with the scope.

I will say that I am so impressed with it that I would buy another.

I previously owned a DMR2i before picking up the DMR2 pro here on the EE and between the two was a big difference in glass quality IMO. I had paid around the $1900 mark after taxes for it and honestly I was a little disappointed with it at that price. That being said it tracked flawlessly and had no issues with it.

Hearing what Bushnell claims for the new DMR3 is they use a different lens coating and gain an extra 2% light transmission over the DMR2 pro. Is that enough for me to switch no, but the new reticle and parallax down the 25yards are definitely a big plus and I would swap to have those features. Also the bold white numbering on the DMR3 I think stands out better.

I am currently running a DMR3 on a CZ457 and I love this scope…clear glass, great reticle and easy to shift 1,2 or more mils in windy conditions. Cannot compare to the DMR2 as I haven’t owned one or know someone who does to compare. From comments to other shooters running with DMR3’s the common opinion is that they are a great piece of glass.

I was curious about how the glass on the DMR 3 would compare to the DMR2 Pro. I had a bunch of HDMR2s at one point and a few XRS2s as well (still have one). They were all super solid, held zero, tracked perfectly but the XRS2 had better glass. I remember hearing that the DMR2 Pro glass was the same as the XRS2 so I was a bit curious as to how the DMR2 Pro glass compared to the DMR3... I never really liked the G3 reticle though and preferred the H59 (despite it not being my favourite, I had a lot of time on it so it's familiar).
