Do 1911's Still Come With 7rd Mags

It seems like just about every new 1911 out there comes with 8rd mags now and are advertised as 8+1. Does any manufacturer still supply 7rd mags with their guns anymore? Jamming 8rds into a 7rd mag tube makes it hard to insert the fully loaded mag into a gun with the slide closed. Plus I noticed that the spring is compressed almost right to the bottom of the mag.

yep colts come with 7 round mags

Nearly all the Colt's come with 8's now except for maybe 1 or 2 models. I think they are even going away from the 7's. Marketing over reliability I guess.

SAM's come with 7 unless stated as being hi-cap

OR you can just not put in 8 rounds..... just sayin

Bought my first 1911 less than 2 months ago. It was a Norinco. I have never touched an 8 rounder, haha. I'm totally down with 7 round cap, in any case. Staggered mags that are pinned just make me annoyed that my gun is gimped and changing mags is pretty fun. Prob get some bigger ones soon.

The Custom Shop Profesionnal comes with 6 tuned Metalform 7 rounders (FBI mags).
