Do All Rim-fires Have Difficulty Extracting Duds?

Some 22lr pistols like the Beretta do not have an extractor but rely on inertia to carry the round from the chamber by the retreating bolt. My Ruger 10-22 just got a new and improved extractor (Exact Edge) still has difficulty with dud rounds.
Is there a solution?

Bolt actions have no trouble ejecting misfires.

None of my rimfires have had issues with extracting a dud, including my Mossberg 151M semi and my Ruger 22/45.

if you have a 'match' chamber, then, yes - extacting duds will be more problematic. Bolt actions tend to have more robust extraction mechanisms, so the problem won't be as apparent on them.

I had a huge problem with my Savage 17HMR with extracting ... I eventually got rid of it because of that.
